Just ok

Generally the unit seemed good, but one of the boxes had the fingers misaligned and one of the panels a bit warped. Bit of a pity but wood is a natural product and these things happen

Roof broken

The beautiful gabled roof came damaged with a long split along one of the overlaps, so it is no longer waterproof. My dad said he could fix it with glue, but the screw underneath the corner of the roof has also been damaged and there was a wood shard floating in the box from it and a hole there now, which could actually be from the side panel. I don't think is chemicals/glue is good for the bees though.

I gave it to my Dad for his birthday on Saturday and if this could be rectified I would appreciate it. He is grateful, but I would like to send the roof back or get new slats to replace the damaged ones and maybe he can replace them himself? It sucks to give a gift that is not as you expected, a bit deflating :( I can send you photos so you know what I mean. Can you please help me?

P.S. My Dad did say that the bee box is beautiful, and I think he wants another one soon!!! No instructions came in the box on how to put it together, so he will see how that goes first before he buys another. Let me know if you need photos of the damage and how we can fix it... before he starts wanting to screw it all together though please!

Once this is fixed I am totally happy to change my review to 5 stars :)

Thank you very much.
